I was really looking forward to reading this book. I had heard a lot about it online and from friends, but it kind of disappointed me a little. I liked the intrigue and the mystery of it all, but the writing was not my style. I couldn’t tell if the author was trying to use a literary device or if it was an actual plot point of the book. I get that it has an unreliable narrator, but I felt like I was on drugs myself reading this book. The more I read the more I got confused until the big climax came and explained everything. I do give props for the story and the themes that are expanded upon, and it was just the right length of book too. Other than that, it was just ok.
