It's definitely a book. Not the worst book that I've ever read but nowhere near the best. The plot felt really rushed in a lot of places, the dialog was off putting at times, not to mention the way I kept thinking "absolutely no one would act like this in real life".
It was a big too far on the cringe scale for me to enjoy it. It wasn't campy cringy horror fun like AHS 1984. It was bad cringy horror like Riverdale Halloween episodes.. which isn't always awful but it was a bit much for a 300+page book.
