"Double Barrel" is a small-town romantic suspense novel and the second book in the Red Mountain series. These stories are interconnected but can be read as stand-alone. The main characters, Dominic and Elyse, were childhood friends who became lovers, which adds a layer of sweetness to their relationship as first loves. The emotional hurt, angst, and longing between them had me reaching for tissues frequently. 😭 To heighten the tension, there’s also a murder case that makes the story even more engaging. I've fallen in love with Michelle's writing, particularly with the representation of being Mexican American. Thank you to Michelle Naomi Mosley and Luna Literary for the opportunity to read "Double Barrel" as an ARC.
