It took me a minute to get into this book because the FMC Layla was such a pushover. Both characters go through some much-needed character growth which helped me get into the story more.
The setting was great and lead to some fun plot points- FMC gets snowed in with the secluded, grumpy, mountain man cowboy MMC. Add the taboo of him being her ex-boyfriend’s dad, their mutual attraction, and nosy radio check-ins from friends and there was a lot of angst, pining, and open-door spice in this slowburn romance.
I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with Stôrmand because that next book sneak peek was WILD.
