Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

5.0

It took a few chapters to get into this just because I couldn't get a grasp of the tone of the book.
It all seemed so exaggerated and I couldn't get if it was supposed to be comedic or not. But I soon latched on and enjoyed it more and more the further I read on.
A friend asked if it is chick-lit. I don't really read "chick-lit" and I don't like that term (nor would Elizabeth Zott, I suspect), but if this is chick-lit, it's a smart woman's chick-lit.
