I'd never heard of the genocide before this book. It was assigned in my 8th grade ELA class, I was hooked immediately. It really showed the realities of ethnic cleansing and how it effects the surviors, but also how media can manipulate people just so easily. I have recommended this book to so many friends and I suggest reading it too.
