Despite preordering this one back in 2023, I didn’t get around to reading it last year. When we approached the release of the sequel, decided it was time to bump it up my list.
My friend has been encouraging me to read for a while. It’s one of her favorites and I can see why! The first 50-100 pages have a lot of world building and I’ll admit I was a bit confused. But once it clicked the story really took off for me and I didn’t want to put it down. Does anyone else have this happen with fantasy books?
Anyways, this was a great read and I’ll definitely be starting the sequel SOON and not waiting. It’s an interesting magic system, lots of twists and turns, diverse characters and an ending that leaves you wanting more
