Okay so this is probably going to be one of my strangest reviews because I'm giving the book 4-stars but I didn't actually like it that much. I thought it was very slow and boring and I was just not that into it or really enjoying. HOWEVER, I know that that is only because of my personal preferences when it comes to romance books and that this was actually a very well-written book.
This story-line focused on much more serious issues than the previous books in this series and the character development throughout the book was amazing. Basically, Tiffany was SA'ed (never actually occurs on page/described in detail) on the original alien ship and has to deal with her trauma and relearn how to accept love and affection. I thought it was really amazing how Ruby Dixon made sure that Tiffany was healing before she had this other alien come into her life in an intimate way. I think it made so much sense and it's really great that Dixon has made it so the resonance not only finds your perfect physical match, but also waits until each person is emotionally/mentally ready for one another. It's a very deep and heartfelt storyline for a series that is basically alien-porn. You get what you came for, but also so much more.
Again, this type of super lovey-dovey romance just isn't really my thing (which is why I'm so excited for Josie and Haeden's book) but I can appreciate a good book when I read it.
