I read The Summer House by Jenny Hale last month when I vacationed in the Outer Banks! It was obviously the perfect setting because this book also takes place in the Outer Banks in a small town called Waves. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is the second book I’ve read by Jenny Hale and I love how thoughtful and sweet her romances are. This one in particular follows Callie as she and her best friend pour their life savings into renovating a beach house they’ve admired since their childhood. Callie thinks she’s too busy to worry about her love life but enter Luke Sullivan. Luke is dubbed a playboy but Callie soon realizes there’s a lot more to Luke than meets the eye. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This was such a sweet, multi-layered story. It was light and breezy and the perfect summer beach read. I love stories that also focus on friendships and this story didn’t disappoint as we also focus on Callie and Olivia’s friendship as well! Definitely can’t wait to read more from Jenny Hale! ⠀⠀
