A classic for a reason. This quick read held my attention with a subtle, nuanced coming-of-age story. Looking forward to reading it out loud to Danica. I read a 1929 Junior Deluxe Edition with dozens of charming pen-and-ink illustrations which I enjoyed just as much as the story.
