Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins: Caleb Widogast
by Liam O'Brien, Matthew Mercer, Jody Houser
Trauma Bonding: A Comic
I think this story would have benefited from being a little longer. As it is, it comes across as a bit rushed in parts, especially given the heavy topics it's exploring. On the other hand, given that this is meant to fill us in on a backstory we already know about, the quick pace kind of works in a way, like a series of violent, vibrant flashbacks.
(Also, yay for explicit canon confirmation of polyamorous Blumendrei!)
