Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be
by Becky Kennedy
I would say it's mostly geared toward children between about 3 and 10- she talks about teens but her examples of things parents would say sound condescending for any kid but would drive an older one batty. I also feel like she doesn't really understand what a parenting crisis is like, especially if you have more than one child per parent on hand. That said, I think from time to time all parents can use a refresher on how to remember that your kids are not being assholes on purpose, and this is pretty readable and doesn't have any silly complicated acronyms or steps to remember like so many parenting books do.
But it does fall into the trap of sort of expecting parents to be robots without emotions of their own.
