A well-written, intensely creative, fresh take on the vampire, this book will likely stay with me for a long while after I’ve put it down. The book pulls no punches when it comes to colonialism and indigenous trauma but is also a cool horror story. The one flaw I would say is that Etsy as a character isn’t as strong for me as our two other narrators but it’s a minor gripe and entirely subjective. I highly recommend picking this one up if you’re into vampires and revenge stories.
