This was such a beautiful, heart-wrenching and well-researched take on Anne Lister, in particular her school days and teenage romance with Eliza Raine. I loved this book so much and was in tears at the end - I love lesbians throughout history so much!!! This definitely spurred me to read more on Lister and to pick up more by Donoghue!
