Trying To Live With The Dead by B.L. Brunnemer
3.0

At first I really enjoyed this book. All the characters are well-developed and likable. The main character, Alexis, can interact with dead and because of it (and her past) rarely makes friends that she keeps. I loved reading about her interactions with her uncle and even her cousin. Throughout the book she remains FRIENDS with all the boys. Just friends. I had mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I loved that she was developing real and lasting friendship with the boys and that she was valued as a person. On the other hand, I didn't want her to end up with the guy she was talking to and I don't want the boys to not end up with her. The last conversation the boys had (
about promising no one would date her
) kind of left the book on a bad note for me.

Besides the characters, the supernatural/psychic aspect of the book was very interesting and well done. I enjoyed the explanations we had as well as the family history involved. I'm thinking the next book will reveal what we all already guessed about her cousin's lack of ghost-y stuff.

I probably will not read the next book but I rarely do. It's a good read anyway.
