The Anti-Boyfriend by Penelope Ward

2.0

It was an okay book with a cliche plot and everything so predictable. The writing was mediocre. Made me want to fall asleep. The conversation between the MCs was so lackluster. The author wanted to make it hilarious but it was totally lame and boring. Surely didn't have the desired effect. The characters were not interesting at all. So dull. Deacon was supposed to be this charming guy but he has a dull personality. He doesn't possess the charm that women would swoon over him. The time jumps were exhausting. Made the story kind of disconnected.

It is weird how I loved this author's books when she is paired with Vi Keeland. Their coalition creates such good works. Can't say the same for their individual works. I loved a couple of solo Vi Keeland books though. But still, I look forward to reading anything they both write together. Sometimes I'm lucky to find a gem, other times not.
