Things We Do in the Dark by Jennifer Hillier
5.0
The trigger warning at the beginning of the novel was refreshing. Usually those storylines in a book make me close the book, except when there’s trigger warnings. More authors and publishers should do this. It’s just respectful!
Jennifer Hillier created a masterpiece. The storylines wove from the past and current storyline, and sometimes the same person in the past then in the current. I didn’t get lost because it was written so well.
Ruby, Paris, and Drew, were characters written and developed naturally.
I would say there wasn’t much laughing or light hearted. It’s a very heavy book of trauma and who dun it.
