The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
4.0
*3.75 stars rounded up*
I love Shea Ernshaw's writing and how easy it was to get pulled into the story. I was immediately hooked into picking up this book when I read that it was a cross between Hocus Pocus and Practical magic. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this story, small coastal town with a lighthouse island. It delivered the perfect setting and would've only been made more atmospheric (in my opinion) if it had taken place in the fall. This was a quick read and I had a really good time with it. Even though I predicted the major plot twist (which I guess took away some of the shock factor from me) it was an amazing twist and done well. The ending was also very satisfying.
