The Immortal Highlander
by Karen Marie Moning
The first time you meet Adam you get a very distinct impression of who his character is. As the series continue you see a little more of him and even when he's not central to the story, you know he's lurking around watching. While not necessary, I think books #4, #5 and #6 should all be read in order as it gives a very lovely almost 3 part story.
** slight spoiler alert** I wouldn't mind finding out in a future book how the ending of this book unfolded.
