Scotch on the Rocks by Elliot Fletcher is a surprisingly satisfying blend of romance, intrigue, and emotional depth. Set against an atmospheric backdrop, readers are drawn into a world that feels both rugged and intimate—much like the drink it's named after. In this story you will find the standard romance tropes of opposites attract and grumpy vs sunshine.

The characters are the novel’s strongest suit. The FMC is flawed but compelling, and her journey is believable and well-paced. The dialogue felt real without being overly stylized, and the chemistry between the leads is palpable.

Those who appreciate slow-burn tension and subtle character dynamics will find a lot to love. Scotch on the Rocks is a fine pour: rich, layered, and just the right amount of bite. A highly recommended read for fans of romantic suspense or character-driven storytelling.

The audiobook is narrated by two voice actors. I hesitate to listen to audiobooks with Scottish or Irish accents - not because I don’t love a nice deep brogue - but I often have a harder time keeping up with the dialogue if the accent is too thick. These narrators did a fantastic job - using their Scottish accents but not too deep that I got lost. Both kept me wanting to hear what came next in the unfolding love story between Juniper and Callum. Would definitely listen to other audiobooks by them.
