Devoured this! A spellbinding read and pure black girl magic in a book. I adore the North women and each of their stories. A multi-generational historical fiction novel will always get me. The generational curses caused by the untimely death of Myrton at the hands of a white man is devastating. So much young black love and joy that was ripped from them by racism. The knock on effects are forever. Women are remarkable and the concept of masculinity needs to change if our society has any hope of thriving.
