Heart of Night and Fire
by Nisha J. Tuli
I m so glad I got a chance to read this stunning book inspired by Indian mythology and other South Asian lore. I grew up reading books and watching TV shows with yakshis, rakshasas, nagas and lots of other Indian mythical creatures so reading this book brought me back to those good old days. Zarya is one of my favorite characters now because she is a fierce warrior and one who never gives up. She was caged from the kindness and cruelty of this world but that didn't stop her from moving forward and explore the world. Yasen oh my God he is my favorite character in this book I love him so much. Zarya is so lucky to get a friend like him. He is cool, lovely and caring. I love Zarya and Yasen's friendship, their banter and how they oggle handsome men together haha . Aarav was very annoying but he has changed a lot and I m glad he found a purpose in his life . I m looking forward to know more about how Zarya and Aarav's relationship progress. Vikram and Amritha - when I think about them I feel conflicted and emotional I hope they get a life they deserve because they both are nice people.
Rabin is so mysterious I wanted to know more about him. Even though Zarya and Rabin's interactions are little I liked all their moments that made my heart flutter. I can't wait to read what happens between them. All supporting characters are unique and have very important roles in the story. I m glad they are all supporting Zarya even after knowing her origin and power. I am eagerly waiting for the next book.
