For being a murder mystery, the plot is not very action packed, all though it does pick up in the second half of the book. Given the ending of the book, it is a setup to another book in the series, which can leave an unsatisfied ending.
3/5 as some will like it, and it wasn't a slog to get through, but there are more gripping books in this genre.
