Fernando Pessoa and Co.: Selected Poems by Fernando Pessoa

4.0

Breezed through it! Admittedly doing this some of the works may have went over my head, but I think overall this book allowed me to have a good overview of the works of Pessoa, and his various heteronyms. All very interesting and it’s easy to see his philosophical outlook through the various writings.

One thing I am curios about is how much prose and rhythm is maintained in translation. By all means the work as presented in the translation was very interesting but just very curious how the poems would be read, both in this translation, and in their original languages, most of which I assume are from Portuguese.
