The Girl Who Soared Over Fairyland and Cut the Moon in Two by Catherynne M. Valente

3.0

Beautiful. There is simply no other way to describe Valente's writing.
This is a story with so much heart. With this book, September has grown older and begins the book worried that she won't be able to go to Fairyland anymore. The book explores what it means to grow up and how growing up doesn't mean you have to lose imagination and those things that make you excited. I think this is my favorite of the series and the one that resonates with me the most personally, and I think many people will find the same.
