A Two-Spirit Journey: The Autobiography of a Lesbian Ojibwa-Cree Elder by Ma-Nee Chacaby

challenging emotional hopeful informative inspiring reflective sad slow-paced

4.25

This was a well-done autobiography. It was clear the authors worked hard to convey Ma Nee's story in an honest and matter-of-fact way, while leaving room for the warmth and wisdom she brings. It was hard to read about the suffering she faced as a young person, but reading about the later parts of her life brought me hope.
