Britt-Marie Was Here
by Fredrik Backman
3.5 stars. Britt-Marie is an uptight lil oddball when she finally leaves her marriage, something I can strongly identify with. 😂 She learns to loosen up a little and I guess "finds" herself in this janky little town, whose folk she also helps, Mary Poppins style. Backman uses the same character-development formula as Ove, but I didn't dislike it, in fact I rather enjoyed it. As with Ove, there are a couple of "ow, sad" moments, but it's a pretty light read.
