Ace: What Asexuality Reveals about Desire, Society, and the Meaning of Sex by Angela Chen

hopeful informative inspiring lighthearted reflective fast-paced

5.0

Fantastic read for anyone interested in sexuality, relationships, gender roles, and how society influences those things. The writing style is casual, switching between personal anecdotes from the author and stories from a multitude of interviews, with a host of additional reading material to supplement. It does a good job of showcasing many experiences of asexuality, ranging from sex positive to sex repulsed, and explaining any terms the reader may not be familiar with along the way. A good read for beginners in this topic as well as those who have done some reading already.

Personally, I will be adding this to my sexuality studies mandatory reading list.
