A Sweet Sting of Salt by Rose Sutherland
5.0
I loved this book so much! Jean and Murian were lovely❤️ I originally became interested in this book as I’ve always loved Selkie myths and it’s queer? Yes please!!
I especially loved seeing Murian grow as a character as the book went along. Instead of being a helpless victim, she had agency and power over her own life even if she was trapped in horrible circumstances.
And most of all, I loved the writing. The writing!💕 I’m amazed this was a debut, Rose Sutherland’s prose are lovely. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next❤️❤️❤️
