This is coming from a translator
I first read the Turkish translation until the 20th chapter. And there were a lot of grammatical and syntactical mistakes, but I wanted to continue, so I downloaded the original version to my phone but I did not like the narration.
It is a pity that I did not like this book. The turkish translation clearly did not go through a full TEP(translation-editing-proofreading) process, and I hated every second I saw a grammatical mistake. I am not talking about major mistakes like conveying the message the opposite way, I am talking about a lot of simple mistakes that could have been solved if someone read it again. I am talking about forgetting certain suffixes and particles (Turkish language revolves around them) or writing the word wrong. Or when you read, you understand that it is word for word translation so you can imagine the original and think to yourself "Wait, we have a very common phrase for that". And if there are 20 sentences in a page, 14 of them have these mistakes. Basic writing softwares like Word could fix these mistakes. Haven't you used a spell and grammer check software? Even free ones could detect these simple but annoying mistakes.
PS: I read the Turkish translation version from the publication house called "Salon Yayınları", the translator is called "Eda Aksan Park" and apparently there is a proofreader called "Ayse Cakır". I really wonder how these simple software solvable mistakes was not detected by a proofreader, if there was a proofreader?
