Two damaged FBI agents grow closer while hunting a serial killer. He's a tattooed and pierced bad boy with a heart of gold, and she's a sweet, brilliant profiler with anxiety issues. He sees the real her and is very patient with her, and she grows and gains confidence from him. I loved that their romance stems from that, random bouts of lust aside, and they have a solid friendship.

They have great chemistry and there's a lot of genuine respect, tender care and some seriously cute moments. And there's no lack of passion or heat between them; they really steam up the pages when they get to it. He pushes her boundaries (in and out of bed) but takes so much care in consent and communication. They're my fav couple of the series so far! The whodunnit is solid, I enjoyed the unraveling of the case. But I wished the epilogue was more solid!
