Ahhhhh!! This book played tug-of-war with my emotions.

Okay, where do I begin… Graham and Quinn are officially one of my favorite couples I have read about. The struggles between them were actually real life struggles that married couples come to face quite often. Which definitely made it feel more relatable! There were moments that I wanted to shake Quinn and ask “what are you thinking???? Talk to him!” However, I understand that it is a difficult topic.

I love their affection for one another and loved reading the then vs now! I enjoyed reading how the two evolved. It does show you how relationships change which is another realistic point that Hoover made in this novel.
I have always been told that when one partner can only give 25%, the other has to give 75% — this book is an example!
I love the box that they created that ended up being a saving grace in their marriage. I also love their reference to the Category 5 storms!! So true.

The ONLY reason I gave this book a 4.75 out of 5 is because the now moments sometimes felt repetitive and drawn out. HOWEVER, I highly recommend this book! Highly, highly, highly. Read it!!!
