‘The dark is for people who are too cowardly to face their actions in the light’ - Kaylie Smith 🌚

A super fun romantasy in a gothic setting. Whilst I can see the comparisons to Caraval, the magical setting, the odd goings on and the tasks…the vibe and the focus feels completely different. 🏰

I personally preferred the dark setting a lot more, the background of Ophelia and her family was so fun also. The tasks had me hooked, I just wish we got a bit more time and description in them. 🔥

Ophelia was an adventurous girly, so it didn’t surprise me that she was captivated by Phantasma. Blackwell was like a lighthouse guiding her home, he was a comfort throughout.💡

For me, I wanted more of the manor, the devils and the tasks, and I needed a slower burn romance. It was fun, but it felt like the romance was being forced on me too early. 🤷🏻‍♀️
