When I heard that this was a Lion king retelling( and I have never come across one of those before) , I was beyond excited.
I expected to love it. Sadly, compared to it's predecessor Hooked, this one was a bit of a let down.
Scarred is a period drama with loads of scheming , murder and court intrigue and shenanigans. It's an okay read but it's not a great read. I guess I went into this with my expectations a little too high.

Now that I've read the two books already out, I can't wait to read more from the Never After series. Hopefully more books will be out soon!
