Liar's Winter: An Appalachian Novel by Cindy Sproles

emotional hopeful inspiring reflective sad

5.0

Cindy K. Sproles is one of my favorite authors. Her stories are so impactful. I loved how Edna called God sir in her prayers. This book is sad and hopeful. The themes in this book are: not letting what people say about you define you, choosing what kind of person you will be, forgiving and loving others even when they mistreat you, and not judging people based on their looks.

“It’s the choices we make that make us who we are. Not what we look like.”
