New government in Japan is quite a dictatorship. Even simple manga author who tried publishing a manga about people fighting to free the world from evil organization gets sentenced to high security prison. Here he will meet one of the first prisoners dating back to the bloody New Year's eve of 2000. Man who will soon find new motivation for escaping the prison because he needs to help their last hope - Kanna.
On the other hand we are introduced to Koizumi, high school pupil who gets in quite a trouble after she chooses to write about December 31st 2000 events for her historical paper. In dictatorial state this interest brings attention from the state and this is something to avoid. Especially in world ruled by "Friends".
Art as always is pure joy for the eyes.
