Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

Ahhh, what a lovely little book! It’s been a long time I’ve read a classic, a long time, so reading this and seeing how language has changed is amazing. Had me laughing at some expressions as we don’t use them now but had to remind myself when this book was set. I was so into it that half way through, I ordered the next three books in the series. They arrived today. And one has not stopped speaking in 19th century English. It’s definitely applicable today with many lessons. As they say, old is gold. Get your young ones off their technological devices and get them this book. Better still, read it yourself if you haven’t already. It’s worth it. Also, I got the puffin classics editions - they are unabridged and complete - and have such pretty covers.
