I've been seeing this book everywhere and finally decided to give it a go. Talk about money well spent! The book hooked me right from the get-go and wouldn't let me go until the very last page! It read like a fairy tale or a myth, with excellent writing and other stories interspersed in its pages.
The world is interesting, the dragons are awesome, the action is evenly paced, the romance is slow and sweeping, and the tension remains high throughout. I didn't know where the final page was going to take me! The plot was very well constructed and filled with surprises.
The characters are very good. Asha is tough, honest, and more vulnerable than she would let anyone believe. Side characters like Dax and Safire are the kinds of friends you want in your corner. And Torwin... oh boy. If there's a more adorable cinnamon roll in existence, I don't know who it could be.
I honestly have no complaints about this book. I do know that I want more. And more, and more, and MORE!!
