The Art of Loving by Erich Fromm

3.0

The Art of Loving contains many thought-provoking ideas on the multifaceted conditions of love, and plenty of quotable passages are nested in these pages.

If you can look past the era's faults and read this objectively and not hold every word at face value, you can certainly get something out of this one.

Well, at least I did.

It made me reflect on society, like how we've progressed and how we're still stuck in our same old selfish ways—the complexities of navigating romantic, familial, and work relationships.

Surprisingly it was a reminder of why I chose to study countless hours a day to achieve mastery of coding, and perhaps it gave me a little spark of excitement to get back at it after facing recent defeat.
