Game Changer by Rachel Reid

5.0

➸ i'm rereading all the game changers books before the release of the long game, and I can say they are even better the second time around. the amount of cameos we get from future/past characters is a delight.

❝ It's completely selfish, actually. I want to see you in a tux that was tailored to your gorgeous body. I might not be able to dance with you that night, but you'll know I'll be wishing I was.❞

Scott is the captain of the New York Admirals and a closeted gay man, Kip is working at the smootie shop after graduating with an arts history degree. And Kip happens to make the smootie that gives Scott his mojo back. And they start to get to know each other.

What I liked about this book is that they start dating early in the story, we don't follow the usual pacing of romance novels, but we get a lot of time with them as a couple and to see how their lives can fit together and what they are willing to do to make each other happy

❝ What's wrong with the closet ? It's a wonderful place crammed full of professional athletes. ❞
