Defensive Hearts
by Alley Ciz
I really enjoyed this book BUT I struggled to keep up with the onslaught of characters, your thrust straight into a chapter with so many different characters and if you've never read any of the previous books in this series then you're totally at a loss (me) I guess that's partially my fault but if it's a stand alone within a series i still feel like it should be necessary to slowly bring these people into the fold.
I didn't love the way people spoke to each other, the conversations felt very teenager and it was a struggle to get through some of the text messaging scenes.
But overall, if I ignore my own bias I enjoyed it but not enough to re read jn the future.
