I quite enjoyed this book - it has a unique magic system, an interesting interpretation of healing and botany/magic, and the characters are pretty distinct and interesting.
Deducted a star because although I found it a pretty good lite fantasy, there were some word-choice-anachronisms and moments that felt too "modern" for this type of fantasy - "mojo" springs to mind - and some of the conversations likewise felt modern. However, this kept me interested the whole time, and I enjoyed the somewhat meandering, road-trip-journey pacing.
