I don't quite know what to think of the story or the ending yet.
It took some time to get used to the style (the switches from one stroy to the next were a bit too fast for me and I sometimes had to go back a paragraph and re-read it, just to realized that yes, we did indeed jump to another part of the story).

But I really liked the story and the world that was built here. The plot comes full cirlce at the end (with some very unforseeable curvballs thrown in along the way) and you get a little taste of what is to come in the other two books.
However, some parts of the story were quite brutal (not just the murder) - I don't know why I though this was YA - it is definitely not. But still, I wondered why I had to read some scenes.
I'll definitely have a look at where book 2 will be taking us and see if I will continue reading.
