I struggled with how to review this book and to keep with the Author's request on spoilers. So, I spoiled myself for it, because spoilers for books don't keep me from reading books, especially if I'm already enjoying them. This is a taboo romance that is not going to be for everyone, however, the story is beautifully written. I've been in Traci's position before with having a crush on an older man, and though my story turned out differently, I enjoyed the hell out of this one. I even enjoyed Lazarus' backstory and I felt so much for these characters as they tired to navigate life and family that I felt a little gutted when the book ended.
I loved this book for its intensity, and how from the heartbreak, to the desire, to the love, to the compassion, to the heartbreak, to the guilt, I was with the characters 100% of the way.
I don't think I could handle if every book I read was like this, but this was a gem, and I'm glad I read it.

I will say that I skipped the underage parts and I don't feel like I lost anything because Traci's feels are referenced later in the book. I will add trigger warnings for drug use, overdose, death of a main character (not Lazarus or Tracy) and child abuse (mentioned).
