Summer at Willow Lake by Susan Wiggs

4.0

I've been reading a lot of books in this genre lately, so I thought I knew what I was getting into when I started this book. Fortunately, I was underestimating this book. It goes back and forth between related (and unrelated) characters in the present, the early 90s, and the late 70s, and everything is tied up nicely in the end. Every plot line is completed satisfactorily with room left open to continue in many different directions. I'm curious to see if other books in the series will feature a similar writing style or tone, the resulting atmosphere in this case being a unique fit for the story. A very good book!
