The Swedish Prince by Karina Halle

2.0

I would say that this book is alright but I would be lying.

In the beginning of the book we meet Maggie, the female main character. She explaining how she became legal guardian of her siblings. Then we Victor, the male main character, who has suddenly became heir apparent to the country of Sweden. Both characters are going through rough patch in their life but suddenly, Maggie with a hero streak saves drunk Victor. Which is the turn point for the both of them and that is when they are suppose to fall in love with each other. Which I believe the author thought would suppose to magically change their lives. They go back-and-forth multiple times and it is a bit wayward for me.

Additionally, one of the siblings is hurt while she is in Sweden and I don’t think that that needed to be in the story. I believe that it further the story but she didn’t need to go into graphic detail on how the sibling got hurt.

I think it is way too cliché and “by chance” for me.
