It took me so long to get through this book. I want to continue on the journey with Roland and his ka-tet but this one was a struggle for me. I read it in stages but it felt like a chore. It is essentially one long side-quest. Glad I finally finished it. But I do feel like it could have been cut in half and still been an effective bridge to the next part of the story. That said, I’m excited to finally get to book 6. Let the adventures commence!
