Superman Is an Arab: On God, Marriage, Macho Men and Other Disastrous Inventions by Joumana Haddad

5.0

This is my second book by Joumana Haddad, and I must say I prefer this one to the other (I Killed Scheherazade), most probably because Haddad doesn't hold anything back and tackles many more issues in this one. I really liked the way each chapter was divided into poem, rant, and narrative. It is hard to decide which part of the book I liked best, but I have to say that the chapter about machismo and the one about the battle of sexes were among my favorite.
