The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year
by Ally Carter
I really liked the way the chapters were broken up with the script-style interactions between Ethan and Maggie. It added a fun, dynamic layer to the mystery story.
However, I wasn't fully convinced by the execution of the enemies-to-lovers trope. The reasons behind their animosity didn't feel developed enough to make the shift to romance believable. It needed a bit more depth to make that transition feel earned.
But hey, who doesn't enjoy a good Nancy Drew-style love story?
