An Apology for Idlers by Robert Louis Stevenson

3.0

A reminder about the importance of idling. Stevenson's argument is valid, however I prefer Chesterton's essay on the same subject; [b:On Lying in Bed and Other Essays|53089|On Lying in Bed and Other Essays|G.K. Chesterton|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1170399139s/53089.jpg|51773].

Tom Hodgkinson's [b:How to Be Idle: A Loafer's Manifesto|623922|How to Be Idle A Loafer's Manifesto|Tom Hodgkinson|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1176413324s/623922.jpg|1768914] is also excellent. If you are ever poisoned with guilt about simply lying about and dreaming, Hodgkinson's book is the antidote.
